Day 23 – Write A Thank You Note or Letter

How To Do This:

  1. Put aside a few minutes and think of a person that matters to you: be it an old friend that you lost contact with or a new one that has entered your life; your life partner, a family member, a teacher, a mentor, or even a stranger who has been kind to you when you needed it the most.
  2. Then take a piece of paper and a pen and start writing them a “thank you” letter.
  3. It can be just a few words or a few pages, the thing is to write from your heart and express the gratitude you have for this person.
  4. If You feel like sending them the letter afterwords, do that. If You prefer to write it in a form of an email, than write like that.

 Saying “thank you” is one of the most powerful ways to bring love and harmony in our lives.

Observe The Effects Of Gratitude On Your Body

Did you notice that when you say “thank you” with all your heart, in spoken words or in a letter, there is a “feeling good” sensation that arrises in your body? The heart feels lighter and expanding like wanting to embrace the whole world with love and joy? I know I did.

I am curious how you experience the sensations of gratitude in your body. So I’d suggest that when you write your letter today, to put some of your attention on your body, from time to time.

Like you did yesterday to observe your posture, today notice your body and the sensations in it while you write and after you finish it.  You get extra karma points if you do the same when you read it to the person for whom you wrote it 🙂

I believe that when we are in a place of gratitude and we express it, we are also in touch with our deepest self, with our gut feeling. That’s why I chose the “thank you” letter as a part of our 30 days challenge.
