Day 17- Dance Like Nobody Sees You

“To be creative means to be in love with life. You can be creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty, you want to bring a little more music to it, a little more poetry to it, a little more dance to it.” ― Osho

As I am writing this I slowly catch my breath after dancing like crazy in my living room on James Brown’s – I feel good. Wow! This surely puts me in a fired-up-positive-I-can-rule-the-world-type-of-energy! 🙂 although I just woke up and I would normally take waaaay more to get into my “working” mode.

Day  17- Dance Like Nobody Sees You

How To Do This: When You get up in the morning or when You get back from work, put on your favorite song and dance like nobody sees you. You can do this alone or together with your partner, your kids, your dog … just go wild and let your body move in the silliest ways ever. Have fun with this, laugh, enjoy it!

My Experience With This: I’ve always loved dancing, free, wild, like-nobody-sees-me-type of dance. I enjoy doing this alone but also sharing the experience with my friends. It’s such an amazing way to:

  • get out of my mind
  • be completely present in my body
  • fill myself with positive energy and
  • set up a good vibe for the rest of the day if done in the morning.

I’ve been through 2 intensive Five Rhythms Workshops in 2010, I’ve taken part in Trance Dance Meditations several times, (where one is dancing blindfolded for 3 hours), I’ve been through a dance marathon during my Humaniversity WOW training in 2013 and I’ve just danced like crazy in my living room before writing this.

So today, less talking, more dancing! If You missed yesterday’s kindness exercise, check it out here!

Here’s my first suggestion:

For more videos I’ve started a dancing-like-crazy list, check it out and share it if You like.

Video 1: I feel Good, the classic from James Brown.

Video 2: Happy In Bucharest, inspired by Pharrell Williams

Video 3: Mille passos by SOHA

Video 4: Solsbury Hill by Peter Gabriel

Video 5: For inspiration, the video with this guy who starts dancing alone and then everyone is dancing, at a music festival in 2009.

And I would love it if at the end of the day You would share in the comments links to your favourite dance-like-crazy music so we can put up a nice list 🙂

With all my love,

Dancing Raluca 🙂
